Abstract art by Nature herself

Browsing my collections for something entirely else, I found this shot. Depending on the day I classified it as very bad or very good, but couldn't really make anything of it. Now I gave it a try.

Given that it was taken at the longer zoom end of a telephoto lens, it wasn't particularly sharp. It isn't even now. But I like the reflecting tiny branches in the fog.

Morning on Mekong

This is the same longboat as in this picture. The morning was chilly, it was hard to wake up, especially after a long ride from the Thai border in a cold bus. But when I look at the shots taken, I could probably post one daily for another month. Beautiful river.

Gremlins 3: Unexpected Delivery

Nikon 7100, 75mm, 1/160s @ f/1.4, iso 100
Not exactly sure where this connections come from, but the first title that jumped into my mind during the post was Unexpected Delivery. And when I tried to imagine, what could be in that box, all I could see was a cute mogwai...
Anyways, it was a really productive morning on the river. And - aside from the cold - it is the best part of the day in Luang Prabang.

Trek: Into the Fog

Expected a nice sunrise, got greeted by low-hanging clouds. Good opportunity to go mystic..
